

Pamela Hennessy Fortune of Indianapolis, IN, Leland, MI, and Vero Beach, FL, aged 77, passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents William L. Fortune and Jane Fortune, her sister Jane Fortune, and her brother Richard Fortune.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Chris (Angie) Butz, Will (Richard Davis) Butz; grandchildren: Mcguire, Skylar, Phoebee, Asher, Valor Butz; great-grand child Nico Butz; brother Bill Fortune, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pam graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO and Butler University in Indianapolis, IN with a degree in Sociology. She was a former board member of Advancing Women Artists in Florence, Italy and the Indianapolis City Ballet in Indianapolis, IN. She also generously supported the Leelanau Conservancy, Friends of Lake Leelanau, and Fishtown Preservation in Leland, MI. Pam was a member of Woodstock Country Club, Dramatic Club, and John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, FL. Pam attended St Francis of the Fields in Zionsville, IN. She was an avid reader and supporter of autism and the arts. Pam was also passionate about giving back and was proudly associated with the Fortune Academy, the American Red Cross, the Junior League of Indianapolis, The Christamore House, and The Dramatic Club of Indianapolis.
She will be remembered as a sweet, compassionate, and loving person who cared deeply for the people around her, especially her children and grandchildren. A private service was held with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
