
75, of Indianapolis, passed away February 12, 2011. He was born in Indianapolis on April 16, 1935, graduating from Broad Ripple High School in 1954. Pat was a long-time warehouseman rising from working on the docks to the role of Vice-President of both Strohm Warehouse and TransCity Warehouse. He also was a familiar figure around his parish of Little Flower, where he served in almost every conceivable role under 7 pastors. He was also an Explorer Post Advisor, the group “Smock’s Misfits”. He served as chair of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis IDCC sub-committee and was on the board of directors and life member of the Indianapolis Traffic Club. Another of his avocations was Scecina High School, where he was a member of the founding Board of Governors. He received many awards from Scecina, including Clarissimus Amicus in 1996 and in 2002 was named an Outstanding Friend award along with his wife of 49 years, Julia, who preceded him in death, and both of them are also in the Wall of Fame at Scecina. He was also preceded in death by his sons Robert and Kevin. Patrick is survived by his children: Patrick II (John), Bridgit (Danny) Finn, Chris (Susan), Mary Baxter, Steve, and David as well as his nieces Angie (Cliff) Coffey and Dawn (Brian) Casner. He was also devoted to his 14 grandchildren: Greg, Tony (Jensine) and Nate Finn, Jessica Whitaker, Russell Baxter, Hannah, Jake and Sofie Smock, Sarah Jane Stiles, Chelsea, Haley and Levi Coffey, and Dylan and Kaylin Casner. Visitation will be Friday, February 18, from 4 –8 p.m. at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 19, at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church.
