Nécrologie de Paul Willis Bonner Jr.
PAUL WILLIS BONNER JR, was the 3rd child born on November 21, 1960 to the late Paul Willis Bonner, Sr. and Constance Jean Cavanaugh Davenport, in Indianapolis, Indiana. PAUL accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of 10 years old and became a member of the Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorship of Pastor Frank Roy Hatcher. PAUL was educated in the Indianapolis Public School System and was in the graduating class of Shortridge High School in 1979. PAUL joined the United States Army after High School where he became a dedicated soldier, traveled the world, fought in Operation Desert Storm against Iraq, and received an Honorable Discharge after serving for 14 years. PAUL was united in marriage to Christina Kochis Bonner and out of this union became the proud father of 2 sons, Paul Willis Bonner III and Derek Erman Bonner. PAUL began working for the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler in 1993 and retired in April 2020, after 27 years of service. PAUL lived life to the fullest and was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger. He had a heart of gold and loved helping family and friends whenever they needed a hand. PAUL was ALWAYS the life of the party! He was an avid gun collector. He enjoyed vacationing, bowling, riding his motorcycle, and rooting for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Relaxing with the Food and Travel Channels, cheating in a good game of Spades (while not caring who caught him at it), and bragging that he was a U.S. Army Vet were also some of his favorite things to do. PAUL loved life – especially spending time with his family and friends. There are TONS of great memories for all who encountered his presence during his time on earth with us. PAUL was blessed with “His Wings” on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the age of 60 years old. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Anna Cavanaugh and Deacon Erman Cavanaugh. PAUL leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Constance Davenport; sons, Paul Bonner III (Brittany Davis), Derek Bonner (Sage Bonner); brothers, John E. Cavanaugh (Ellen Cavanaugh), Troy Bonner (Kim Bonner); sisters, Michelle Bonner, Monique Bonner; nephews, John C. Cavanaugh (Anita Cavanaugh), Trent Bonner; nieces, Angela Parker (Bernard Parker), Jasmine Bonner, Ashley Bonner; great-nephews, Elijah Cavanaugh, Timothy Cavanaugh, Nehemiah Cavanaugh, Bernard Parker, Jr., Brennen Parker, and Andreas Bonner; great niece, Breana Niles; special cousin, Zurlene “Sugar” Morgan, and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am with a private family funeral service immediately following. Entombment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
