Paul Wayne Carnine

Paul attended William Penn Elementary School and was a 1966 graduate of George Washington High School. Paul enlisted into the Army in 1966 going to Vietnam at one point until 1968. He was in the 101st Airborne jumping from C-130 Hercules. He was Honorably Discharged in 1968 and received the Purple Heart.

Paul worked at Tech High School, ROTC Magazine and was a veterans representative with Indiana State Government in the unemployment office. In the early years, Paul enjoyed boating and camping with family, and fishing with friends. He was and avid gun collector, and took pride in keeping them in mint condition. He loved his Corvette and Mustang, always doing something to them. He loved his family and friends, spoke of them often, and missed seeing them.

Paul is survived by his daughters: Jennifer (Brian) Simpson and Stephanie (Josh Hatton) Buffington, grandchildren: Samantha Carnine, Brandon Foster, Danny Robinson, Jonah Anderson and Kiara Offutt and great grandchildren: Kaison and Zayden Foster. Nieces and nephews: Joyce Cummings and Richard Ottinger. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Helen Ottinger, Bob and Ralph Carnine and a daughter: Megan Carnine.

A visitation for Paul will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.

Paul will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, 709 Harding St, Plainfield, Indiana 46168 with Military Honors.
