Phillip Henry Mumford was born in Indianapolis, IN to the parents of the late T. R. Mumford Jr. and Mary Mumford and the grandson of the late Reverend Roosevelt Mumford Sr. and Sarah Mumford on April 27, 1955.
Phillip attended Washington Township Schools and graduated from North Central High School.
Phillip gave his life to the Lord at an early age to the church where he attended and was one of the youngest founding members, Zion Hope Baptist Church. Phillip was a faithful servant throughout his church and community.
Before Phillips illness, Phillip worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and was training to repair shoes.
Phillip’s illness never prohibited him from expressing his kind and gentle heart and his love for people. He was loved by friends and family.
Phillip was a Colts and Pacers fan and enjoyed watching games shows like the Price is Right.
Phillip Mumford leaves behind his older brother Bryon (Denise) Mumford, older sister Sarah (Michael) Johnson, nieces, Mary Helen and Trinette and nephews, Joseph, Byron Jr. and Phillip, and a host of cousins and friends.
