There are three steps to Heaven - out of self: into Christ; into glory. Ralph James Stansberry, took these first two steps in life and lived a beautiful life. How he was taken the third step where there is no more weeping, no pain, no sorrow, no disappointment. His physical strength weakened and affliction fell upon him. Tired and weary, he waited upon his orders from Christ. Ralph received those orders on Thursday morning, June 4, 2019 at 1 :00 am when God called him home. Ralph was born November 7, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ralph and Louise Skipwith Stansberry. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for General Motors. Ralph leaves to cherish memories of his loving, nature and kindness: his wife Ave Stansberry, 7 brothers Nathaniel, James, David, Lorenzo, Donald, Dennis and Bruce Stansberry, 1 sister Linda Stansberry, 2 uncles Leon and Bob Skipwith, 2 aunts Bessie Skipwith and Doris Jackson and a host of step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Louis and Ralph Stansberry, sisters Hattie and Joyce Stansberry. A visitation will occur Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Pentecostal Power of Praise Church, 650 East Perry Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Pentecostal Power of Praise Church, 650 East Perry Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220. A burial for Ralph will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. The family would like to thank God for His mercy and His goodness.
