84, of Indianapolis, passed away November 1, 2016. He was born May 6, 1932 in Indianapolis the son of Frank and Ann Bader Mitchell. He graduated from Tech High School in 1950. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Naval Avionics as an engineer retiring in 1987. He attended Arlington Height Baptist Church. Dick is preceded in death by his wife Judith Ann Whitaker Mitchell, son Mark Mitchell. He is survived by his children Cynthia (James) Eaton, Christopher Mitchell, friend Bonnie Dodds, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, November 4 from 4 – 8 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 5 at 11 am at the mortuary.
