Passed away on March 3, 2013.
He was employed as an engineer of maintenance at the Caribbean Cove & Waterpark for 30 plus years. He was a United States Airforce Veteran. He was a member of the Church of the Living God, Temple #18 and the American Legion Post 249.
He is survived by his sons, Melvin C. Payne (Tashia), Brian A. Payne (Shannon), daughters, Mary Wallace (Frank), Carolyn Bennett (Michael), sister, Thelma Thomas, 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren
Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, 12 Noon at New Liberty M.B.C., 130 West 29th Street. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 A.M. Burial will be in Sutherland Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home. www.willliamsandbluitt.com
