Richie Jeannett McCombs

Richie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Alaska (Richard) Jr. and Betty Reeves. She attended St. Mary Academy, Madam C.J. Walker College of Beauty Culture, and Purdue University Co-op Extension Services. She married Avel McCombs Jr. on October 7 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She obtained a master's license from Ivy Technical College, Region 8. Also, she had an associate's degree in management and small business and was a certified substitute teacher for the State of Indiana until she retired in 2007.

Richie is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Reeves (Holiday), siblings Theresa Arlene, Thurston Marshall, Aaron Patrick, and her father, Alaska.

Richie is survived by her spouse, Avel McCombs Jr. her firstborn child, Leva Imara, spouse Antoine Terome Martin, second born child Indéa Louise McCombs, and thirdborn child Lydia S., spouse Marvin Ray Harrington. Her living siblings are Eleyes Yvonne, Betty Aris, Richard Emery, Erskine Anthony, Chris E., Joseph Vincent, Elliot Scott, Bridget A., Arienette Lucille, Richard Alaska II, Eric Rebretc, and Reta Iris. Her grandchildren: Kenneth Vanderas, Kristopher Maurice (Clark), Keegan Maliek, Darrion Patrick, Imara Janae, Maxine Essence, Aaliyah Jade, Maxwell Jesse, Leonidas Reign, and her great-grandchildren: Eden Yuna, Solana Venus, and Jeremiah Jimenez.

Memorials may be given to her children. The family of Richie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Aseracare Hospice, nurse Melanie, Kim, chaplain Joey, and Ben.
