Robert Brown Jr.

Robert Brown Jr. “Butch” age 72, resided in Indianapolis, lost his battle with adenocarcinoma cancer on the morning of Sunday February 17, 2019 at Veteran’s Memorial Hospital. Butch was born on April 16, 1946 in Bronx, New York to Lula May Moore & Robert Brown Sr. and later raised by Rebecca Brown. He attended New York City public High school, Dewitt Clinton before entering the United States Marine Corps on January 22, 1964, he was trained as an Infantry Sharpshooter Badge Rifleman. Butch moved to Indianapolis with his four-year-old son where he then met and married Kay F. Joyner who had a daughter and together they had two more daughters and son. Butch is survived by his wife Kay and their five children, Robert T. Brown III., Kimberly D. Andrews, Dawn M. Brown, Andrea D. Brown, & Shelton D. Brown, his grandchildren Kendall Robert Brown, Jimmy L. Thomas, Marcus L. Brown, Shelton D. Brown Jr., Cameron K. Brown, Trey N. Andrews, Kayla S. Richardson, Thea A. Brown, Leah D. Harvey, Shelona Brown, Breaunna M. Andrews, Sholan Brown, Sheron Brown, Shevon Brown, and one great granddaughter Skylar J. Thomas; his brother, Donald & Cheryl Brown of LaVerne, CA. and three sisters Judith & Michael Thomas, Geraldine Moore and Linda John of Pfafftown, NC. He was preceded in death by parents Lula Mae Moore & Robert Brown Sr. and his elder brother Alfred Moore Jr. A viewing will be held on Monday, February 25, from 2-4PM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary located at 1307 Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46219. The service will be immediately following from 4-5PM. The Service will be conducted by Reverend Corey Rodgers. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
