Robert Earl Brown, III, 80 of Wright City, Missouri and formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away March 21, 2020. He was born August 2, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Robert and Dorothy (Knapp) Brown. He married his first wife, Bonadell, July 2, 1960. She preceded him in death in 2009. Bob served his country as an active duty member of the U. S. Army from 1958 to 1979. His time served included a tour of duty in Saigon during the Viet Nam war. He retired from Fort Benjamin Harrison Army Post as a Master Sergeant. After his military retirement, he worked twenty five years for the State of Indiana, Family and Social Services Division. Prior to moving to Missouri, Bob was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph Council 5290. He had served as Grand Knight and was a member of the 4th Degree. He also had been a member of American Legion Post 495; V.F.W. #7119; and Barbershop Harmony Society (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.) Having been a convert to the Roman Catholic Church, Bob had been active man of faith. During his time living in Indianapolis, he had been an active member of first Saint Simon the Apostle parish then Saint Lawrence parish. He had been very involved with many activities at both parishes; however, he will be most remembered for his powerful singing voice. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Miskov-Brown of Wright City; his children Christopher of Austin, TX; Beth Ann(Bob) Smith of Indianapolis; Robert of Indianapolis; his grandchildren William and Deirdre Smith, Indianapolis; and his step-children Anne(Steve) Fischer, Nicholle Miskov, Erin(Craig) Coupe and Daniel Miskov. In addition, Rebecca also has 11 grandchildren that Bob is survived by. There will be a Celebration of Bob’s life at a later date. Military Honors will be rendered at that time. Bob was entombed at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
