

89, passed away October 13, 2013 in Indianapolis. He was born October 3, 1924 in Indianapolis to William S. and Marie (McCarty) Cronin. He graduated from Cathedral High School and attended Purdue University. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Robert worked for Indianapolis Power and Light Company for 41 years. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Robert is survived by his wife Ellen M. (Steinmetz) Cronin, children: Sharon (Joseph) Galbo, Karen Cronin, Kathleen (John) Lott, Susan (David) Black, William (Ellen Hofmeister) Cronin, Robert (Diana Minsterman) Cronin, son-in-law Timothy Parker, sister M. Patricia Cronin, step children: Susan (Jerry) Lienhop, Patrick (Joel) Naughton, Karen (Tom) Branson, Kathy (Kerry) Forestal, Joseph (Karen) Naughton, Anne (John) Burns, Maureen (Jim) Carr, Jean (Chris) Greiner, John Naughton, 30 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Marie Cronin, first wife Katherine (Gavin) Cronin, daughter Mary Beth Parker, brother William J. Cronin, stepson Michael Naughton. Visitation will be Thursday October 17, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Funeral service will be Friday, October 18 at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Little Flower Catholic Church.
