

Robert L. Gaddie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Beatrice Valene Gaddie Cox and M.L. Frank Cox on May 19, 1951.
Robert attended Indianapolis Public School #23 and #10, he went to Harshman Junior High #101. He attended Arsenal Technical High School where he excelled in academics and sports. In 1968 his junior year he played 1st string on the Varsity Basketball team. In 1969, his Senior year he also played 1st string. He loved basketball! Robert “Bobby” “Bobcat” was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School class of 1969.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Martindale Church of Christ where he served as an usher, he taught Sunday School class, a board member, trustee and trustee chairman,he served on the Men of Ministry with Pastor Sparks, custodian for the church. He loved the Lord.
Robert was employed at Indianapolis Chrysler Foundry for 35 years, after retiring he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his two grandchildren Aria and Aaron.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Marietha Carol Gaddie, Mother Beatrice Gaddie Cox, Father M.L. Frank Cox, two sisters Irma Gilbert and Marilyn Gaddie Hoskins. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, church family, classmates and coworkers.
He leaves his daughters Nicole Gaddie, Kela Ransom, LaTonja Dickerson-Saffold (George) grandchildren Aaron LeSure and Aria Ransom and his forcefully adopted dog Max.

Sisters: Virginia Cox Withers (Roger), Beverly Cox, Beatrice Cox (Ronald), Mary Cannon (New Albany,MS)
Aunts Olivia Jordan (Charles), Anna Lee Murry (Elroy)
And a host of nieces and nephews and extended family
Funeral services will be held at Crownhill Funeral Home 700 West 38th Street on September 13, 2021, visitation will be held10am- 12:00 noon and the Funeral will be 12:00 noon until 1:30pm
