Robert Ray Grubbs Sr. husband, father, uncle, son, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away, on January 27, 2021. He leaves behind a legacy of three generations of male descendants all of whom bear his name.
He is survived by his only son, Robert Ray Grubbs Jr and wife Robin K Grubbs (née Arvin), two grandchildren, Robert Ray Grubbs III and wife Sandi, Jennifer A Finn (née Grubbs) and husband Tom Finn. As well as three great grandchildren Kathleen Tucker, Nicholas Newby, Robert Ray Grubbs IV, Cole Finn, and Braden Finn, two great, great grandchildren Delson Tucker and Saylor Tucker. He was a retired Indianapolis Police Officer, having served for twenty years, throughout the IPD force. He was the original “Officer Friendly” in our city. He will be missed by all. I love you, Dad, so sorry to see you leave us.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Westridge Park Cemetery, 9295 West 21st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234.
Due to the current Covid Pandemic mask will be required and social distancing will be observed there will be a capacity maximum of 50 people in the chapel.
