86, of Indianapolis departed this life Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Bob was born August 9, 1925 in Lebanon, IN to Caryl R. and Elizabeth (Hinkle) Kern. Bob served his country in the US Navy. He worked for Washington Township for over 20 years as an electrician. He loved the outdoors and was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 451, he was also a Freemason. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary E. Kern. Bob is survived by his sons, Donald, Ronald and Michael Kern; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Private services followed by cremation were handled by Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary in Indianapolis.
