Quote
"I am trying to remember you
and
let you go
at
the same time"
I remember when you were little your mom came to Montana for a short while and you didn't like to stay in your bed at night. So you and your sister would tip toe out of your room and cuddle up with me until your mom would come and chase you girls back to bed. Those where good times and I'll always remember the warmth and love in those memories.

My first memory of you is holding you in the NICU and praying for you. I used to kiss your hand and face so much when you were a toddler because I wanted you to know how beautiful you were to me. I saw you grow into a girl who was fierce, loyal, and never stopped dreaming. You had a musical soul and were a great dancer. It was amazing watching you at our little parties doing Just Dance. I had to fade back and just let you hit the moves right while I tried to get technical points. You helped me put up my pool and it was a struggle in the heat but you were always there for me. We would laugh so hard with our van conversations and I don’t even remember what half of them were about. I just remember we would be cracking up. Lake Michigan is now going to be forever held as my favorite vacay. You’re not just my niece. You’re my girl. A piece of my heart went with you, leaving behind a breathless space that once held a dream for your unfinished life. I will never be the same. I’m not coming back from this one the same. You were loved, I hope you knew it.

I remember when we were locked out of your apartment I had to boost her up to the top level and Lisa came outside like “what the heck are you doing” and we were laughing so hard.
