He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Arlington High School and Purdue University with an Associates Degree. He was married 50 years to his wife Linda.
He retired from Reilly Industries, now Vertellus and started his own design business, Design Plus, LLC working with builders and individuals designing their homes.
Rod was a 32nd degree Mason, and belonged to the Scottish Rite and he was in the Murat Shrine and president of the Corvette Club in 2009.
He is survived by: one son, Travis (Lisa) Kyle, one sister, Vanessa (Dave) Heacox, one granddaughter, Jordyn and two step grandsons, Aiden and Noah. He has three great grandchildren, Troy, Colt and Lorraine.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 6th. The calling will be at 10am with service at 11am at the Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg Indiana.
