Roger Lee Hostetler

He graduated from Goshen High School in 1964 and attended Sam’s Technical Institute in Indianapolis. Roger worked as a manufacturer sales representative for many years traveling across the country meeting with clients, which he loved.

Roger was actively involved in Indian Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis providing pre-marital counseling with his wife Ruth and was a member of the same bible study group for over 30 years. He played guitar in a band called BYKOTA for many years and played shortstop on a traveling softball team called Pennington.

Roger was a loving husband and father who loved spending time with friends and family, sailing, cycling, traveling, listening to music and watching football. He was always up for anything if anyone asked him to join.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Naomi Hostetler and wife, Ruth Hostetler (Copley).

He is survived by his wife, Mary LaFlower; his children, Jason and Matt (Michelle), Dawn and Adam (Dana); grandchildren Lucy (Kristen) and Ivy (Tim), Graham and Lane and siblings, Linda (Jim) and Scott (Jill).

The family would like to thank everyone at IU Health for the care and compassion they showed Roger in his final days.

Visitation will take place at Little & Sons Funeral Home, located at 4901 East Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237, on December 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held at The Creek Church, located at 6430 S Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46259, on December 13, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a time to gather beginning at 9:00 am.

Roger will be laid to rest at New Bethel Cemetery, located at 9032 Southeastern Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46239 following his funeral service.
