Ronald Gent, 68, of Plainfield, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 27, 1955 to parents William Gent Jr. and Bessie (Ferris) Gent. After high school, Ronald went on to pursue a career in logistics as a general manager, but his real love was for music. He never got tired of playing guitar. He shared so much love through music and touched so many wonderful friends along the way.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roberta D. (Dunn) Gent; and son, Adam J. Gent. He is survived by his brother, Bill Gent (Luan), sister, Linda Thompson (Kenny), daughter, Erin Gent-Rumley (Bryan Ardoin); son, Jeremy Stanner (Tyana); and his grandchildren, Kya Rumley, Zoey Rumley, Layla Rumley, Ashton Gent, Alec Gent, Kaylyn Stanner, Adalyn Stanner, Rylan Stanner, and Waylan Stanner.
A visitation for Ronald will be held on Friday, July 26th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crossroads Church, 7209 E County Rd. 100 S Avon, IN 46123, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
