Ruth "Hannah" L. Tucker

Ruth gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a member of New Light Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received her elementary education at St. Paul School in Canton, Mississippi, graduating from Roger High School in Canton, Mississippi. Later, she moved to Indianapolis, in 1960 where she furthered her education by attending Ivy Tech Community College.

Ruth was a wife and a homemaker for many years. After raising her children, she was employed by Worker’s Compensation as an Executive Administrative Secretary.

Ruth favorite pastime was cooking, gardening and participating in mini marathons.

Ruth Lee Williams met her husband the late Clifford Tucker and was married on the 25th day of August 1967 and to this union seven children were born.

Ruth Lee Tucker departed this life on the 10th day of September 2024 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband.

Ruth is survived by her children, Natasha (Steven) Tucker-Grays, Pamela (Mark) Tucker-Holland, Patrick Tucker, Timothy Tucker, Allen Tucker, Ivan Tucker and Jacqueline Tucker; and her two brothers, James Williams (Ruth) and Paul V. Jones (Chriss) of Canton, Mississippi; four sisters, Annie Pearl, Fleta Jones, Rose Jones and Claudia Mae Burns of Oakland, California; and a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, other relatives

and friends.

A visitation for Hannah will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gothic Chapel, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
