Sam was my oldest friend. We met at the water fountain in our old church when we were 3 and i cut my drink short so he could drink too. I didn't go to school with him so I  only ever so him on Saturdays and then he changed churches so I only saw him on occasion. But whenever we were back together it was like no time had gone. I wish I had talked to him more before he passed. I didn't even realize I had his phone number until the day he passed. I miss you Sammy and I'm sorry I wasn't a better friend.

He made the best older brother/cousin…not only to his own but to me. The short period of time I spent living alongside Samuel is one I will never forget. I looked forward to seeing him every weekend and i’m so thankful that I solidified as many memories with him as I did before separating. Learning from him never stopped; whether it was a bible verse, a part for our choir, some outdoor game, a song on one of the dozens of instruments that he played, or even a game that he’d happily allow me to ruin on his console. He was always patient with me and his younger family and I admired his maturity at such a young age. He was so responsible and all the adults favoured him. He held much talent in just one body! Despite being ahead of his time, Sammy never let us younger ones feel behind lol. He always stayed with us, let us talk nonsense, and in times of stress he was the one that took care of everything. This shock will never leave me. I love you. I don’t have enough words nor did I have enough time to reunite with you Samuel but I miss you so much and I’m so happy to have known you.

There was a night when we had a fashion show at church and as I was coming down the steps, Samuel was at the bottom and he gazed at me like fireworks and told me I was beautiful and never failed to remind me everyday. From that day we really liked each other and we're were together for 3 years. We had amazing chemistry and a beautiful bond during our relationship before and after even when we didn't communicate for a while. I'm heartbroken forever. 

Samuel was one of the most extraordinary person I ever knew.  He was the sweetest and everyone loved him. Sammy was an intelligent, driven, talented and very handsome young man. Sammy and I grew up together in friendship and love and I will forever cherish the time we had spent. My fondest memory of Sammy was our prom, all the funny moments in church, Saturday dinners, camp, going to the movies, spending hours on the phone and many more. I will always love Samuel with my heart and he'll always be apart of my story. I wish my all to see him again and just hug him tighter in this lifetime, even though he's gone awfully too soon and he's not in my sight I have in my heart that we'll meet again. Sammy, I miss you. 

In this life, there are some people who make a remarkable impression on you. There are few who find a place in your heart and it’s as if they stay there forever. Samuel was one of those individuals. Since I met Sabine and her family, her son Samuel included, I have thought he was such a polite young man. He was caring and loving to the children around him. Always.

Whether he was preaching at church, having been asked to bring the Spoken Word on a Sabbath, or just hanging out at home having fun and eating around family and friends, he was just Sammy. Intelligent. Poised. Handsome. Pleasant.

There has been a hole in my heart since I got word of his passing. Family, I cry with you. I am shocked and in disbelief with you. I pray for you. I ask God to be close to you and comfort you as only He can. I think of you constantly. I love you.

Sabine, I thank you for making me a part of your family. There are no words that anyone can say to you to make sense of the fact that your precious son is gone, gone way too soon! But let us live on with hope in our hearts and look forward to that glorious day that God has promised us will come. That day when we will be reunited with our loved ones again. That day when as his Mother you can hug Samuel again. This time, never to part. 

I worked with Samuel at meijer , he was such an amazing ,kind, hard working human being, he brought laughter and joy with him every time at work, he made work fun for me and others , I remember we talked about how he makes beats and a friend and I will tease him for names he should use when he make it big. Thanks for all the great memories and positivity you brought  into my life Samuel Samuel. Still hard for me to believe 

I worked with Samuel at Meijer, my favorite memory was just after that massive snow storm, we had to find a way to push the carts into the store and so we all had to try and push the same row to move it😂 we were having a blast that day thought with you and a couple others having to help push people's cars because they got stuck in the snow.
