Samuel J. Schuch IV was a proud family man—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He found joy in the simple, meaningful gifts God placed in his life: working in his yard, watching the birds he loved, woodworking, collecting antiques, and spending quality time at the beach with family and friends. Those who knew Samuel remember his unmistakable summer tan, earned from hours spent in the sun enjoying the outdoors and the company of those he loved.
Samuel dedicated 42 years of service as an Electrician at Allison Transmission before retiring in 2019. He was a proud member of UAW Local 933 and deeply valued the sense of brotherhood and camaraderie he shared with his coworkers. He believed strongly in honest work, commitment, and providing for those he loved.
A man of faith, Samuel was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Avon, Indiana. His faith guided how he lived, loved, and cared for others throughout his life.
Samuel was preceded in death by his father, Samuel J. Schuch III; his mother, Nancy Schuch; and his grandson, Samuel J. Schuch VI.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kimberly Schuch; his son Samuel J. Schuch V, wife Jennifer, and their children Samantha and Joseph; and his son Daniel Schuch, wife Jessica.
He is also survived by his sister Katrina Kay, husband Larry, along with their children Ryan (Kristen) and Kassee Lamm (Ben); his brother David Schuch, wife Debbie; and his sister Jennifer Bay, husband Jon, along with their children Christopher, Kinzie, Thomas, and Andrew.
Samuel will be remembered for his steady faith, quiet strength, deep love of family, and the thoughtful way he found beauty and meaning in both people and the things others might overlook.
