Sandra M. Trotter

Sandra Marie Trotter of Indianapolis, Indiana, transitioned on February 17, 2024. She was 74 years old. Sandra passed away at home after celebrating her upcoming 75th birthday on February 21st, surrounded by her family.

She was born Sandra Marie Green on February 21, 1949, to Willie J. and Florence J. Almon. Sandra graduated from Crispus Attacks High School in 1967.

She started working at Fort Benjamin Harris Finance Center Indianapolis, Indiana in 1968. Sandra retired from Social Security Administration (SSA) with 36 years of service in 2004. Sandra married Thomas Blake Trotter on August 3, 1974, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Indianapolis, Indiana. She had three children, Herbert Leveringston Jr., Tiffany Trotter and Tonya Trotter.

Sandra was a very loving, dedicated, and caring wife and mother. She was very nice, sweet and encouraging to her family, friends and co-workers. Sandra was known for her saying “too too much” by all those that knew her. Her favorite color was red, and she loved roses.

Sandra is survived by husband, Dr. Thomas Blake Trotter; children, Herbert Leveringston Jr., (Cynthia), Tiffany Patrice Asogbon (Adebayo) and Tonya Trotter; grandchildren, Krystoffer Jordan Leveringston, Tkeyiah Shanae Trotter, Taeveon Blake Trotter, Tahjanae Marie Trotter, Daliyah Yvonne Marie Ramseur and Dymond Danielle Ramseur; and great-grandson, Tobias Leveringston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie J. and Florence J. Almon, and grandson, Davante Desmond Ramseur.
