Sarah Rosalind Lamb Isaak, 76, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2018. She was born on April 29, 1942, the youngest child of Emmett and Margaret (Kluger) Lamb's four daughters. She grew up in Golden Hill in Indianapolis and was a member of First Friends Meeting (Quaker) for many years. Sarah attended Shortridge High School and graduated from Tudor Hall in 1959. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at Southern Methodist University before transferring to Northwestern University and graduating in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. While working for Johns Manville Co., she met and married George Isaak in 1965. At the age of 39, Sarah returned to school and received her nursing degree in 1981. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital for 14 years. Sarah was high spirited, and her enthusiasm and infectious laugh were contagious. Her black eyes sparkled whenever she smiled. Her love for her dogs was the center of her life, but she was also passionate about traveling with her sister, Emilie, fishing at her home on Paradise Lake and working in her garden with her beautiful flowers, especially roses. Sarah had a deep faith and lived life her way to the very end. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Emmett and Margaret Lamb, her sister Emilie Lamb Massette, her former husband George Isaak and her friend Barbara Thomas. Survivors include: sisters; Suzanne Holder(George) of Menlo Park, CA, Judith Doninger(Clarence) of Indianapolis, IN; nieces, Sylvia Hood (Michael) of Dallas, TX, Victoria Ubben (Joe) of Wanatah, IN, and Gretchen Doninger(David Victorson) of Evanston, IL; nephews Eric Doninger(former wife Michelle Staggs) of Louisville, KY and Samuel Massette (Melinda) of Porter IN. She is also survived by 5 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gothic Chapel of Crown Hill Cemetery on Saturday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to any animal shelter or First Friends Meeting, 3030 East Kessler Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46220. The family appreciates the compassionate and loving care for Sarah from the entire staff at Forest Creek Village and Heart-to-Heart Hospice. The four little Lambs are now two.
