Nécrologie de Scott Edward Lynch
Scott Edward Lynch (57), of Beech Grove, Indiana, passed away on May 14, 2022. Born March 3, 1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Scott was the first born child of Bennie and the late Patricia Lynch. He graduated from Roncalli High School in 1983. Shortly after graduating, Scott enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a Senior Airmen as a Gunner on a B-52, 60th Bomb Squadron (1983-1987). Upon leaving the military, Scott held many titles, predominately working in the mortgage and insurance industry, later owning his own independent agencies serving the Indiana-Kentucky-Ohio Tri-State area. Scott was a prominent member of the American Legion - Post 355, Fraternity of the Eagles, as well as the local Beech Grove community, often serving in positions of leadership, coaching, and mentorship – a passion that fueled him throughout his life. Scott was blessed with a multitude of lifelong relationships, marrying his childhood sweetheart, Donna Levell Lynch. Scott was a father of four, experiencing no greater joy than embarrassing his children and watching them pursue their dreams. Scott’s mantra was to work hard, play harder, instilling a great sense of personal accountability in his daughter and three sons – encouraging them to live a life of perseverance, loyalty, and always maintaining a child-like sense of curiosity about the world. Out of all the titles Scott had, his favorite was “Pappy” to his six-year-old granddaughter, Charlotte (Charlie). Scott was an adventurist at heart, living in Guam, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. He found joy in meandering through old Irish towns with his beloved wife, or even just discovering a new neighborhood restaurant. As a food enthusiast, but also not one to waste, Scott always made sure to clear his plate – regardless of the quality of food. Along with traveling, Scott loved riding his motorcycle and spending as much as time as possible outdoors – especially summer nights on his back patio, listening to Jimmy Buffet, dancing with his wife and granddaughter, with an ice-cold beer in hand. A larger-than-life personality, Scott was best known as the one who could always put a smile on others’ faces, crack the best jokes and take things just a little too far, with the most mischievous grin on his face. Scott is survived by his wife of 33 years, Donna (Levell) Lynch; children Jacqueline Lynch (Matthew Steinberg), Jonathan Lynch (Aaron Holloway), James Lynch (Brooke Francis-Lynch), Joseph Lynch; granddaughter Charlotte (Charlie) Lynch; siblings Sean Lynch (Angie Weiskittel), Taree (Lynch) Cavazos (Aaron Cavazos), Katrina (Lynch) Lane (Joseph Lane); father Bennie Lynch (Nancy Lynch); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
