

In her younger days, Shirlene enjoyed turtle hunting, dancing, spending time by the pool, and was even a member of a band. Shirlene was a very giving woman. She would give her last dime if she thought it would help someone out. Shirlene will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends.
Shirlene worked at the Indianapolis International Airport where she worked for nearly 20 years until her retirement in 2016. She enjoyed doing her job and took it seriously. Shirlene loved her family and grandchildren very much. She was a member of the VFW 1587 and the American Legion Post 64.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Moore and Daryl Hoeger; her daughter, Robin Unger; grandchildren, Rick Jr., Randi, Kiera, Korey, Teah, Leah, Frances, Devin, and Jacob; several great-grandchildren and other family members and friends. Shirlene is preceded in death by her mother, father, siblings and sons, Richard Moore (Debbie) and Dustin Hoeger (Mindy).
A visitation for Shirlene will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224.
Shirlene will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
