

Thomas accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Laurel. As a teen, he developed a love for music and played First Chair Trumpet with Watkins High School Band in Laurel. After completing his high school education, he became employed with the Head Start Program.
In the early 90’s Thomas decided to move to Detroit, MI and worked in the auto industry for many years. He relocated to Biloxi, MS to join his brothers and found gainful employment in the Casino Industry.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Howard, Sr. and Fannie Andrews-Hudgies, one sister, Delores Hudgies-Westley and one brother, Danny Harold Hudgies.
Those left to cherish Thomas’ memory include three sons, Michael Hudgies, Tony and Thomas Culpepper all of Laurel, MS; one daughter, Saudia Hudgies, Mauldin, MO; two brothers, Samuel (Dorothy) Hudgies, Biloxi, MS; Howard Hudgies, Jr., Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Gloria Hudgies-Rice, Stone Mountain, GA, Joyce Annette Hudgies, Los Angeles, CA and Brenda LeVern Hudgies, Novato, CA; two aunts, Bernice Greene, and Johnnie M. Andrews of Laurel MS; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
