Thomas Joseph Stenger

Tom attended St. Catherine and Scared Heart grades schools and Cathedral High School. Tom lived on the Southside of Indianapolis his entire life except for 3 years of service in U.S. Marine Corp. Tom was active in Holy Name Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. In his free time, he played golf and bowled.

He married Jeanette R. Dehne of Westport S.D. in 1957 and had four children: Gregory Brian (the late Julianne) Stenger, Brenda Cathleen (Chuck) Tumey, Jeffery Scott (Dorothy) Stenger and Joseph Alan (Vicki) Stenger. Tom has many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Sisters Mary Elizabeth Hoffman and Carolyn R. Randall also survive. He was preceded in death by both parents and brother Gerald F. Stenger Jr.

A memorial visitation for Tom will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave, Beech Grove, IN 46107, followed by a funeral Mass at 2:00 PM.
