

Tom was born in Indianapolis on April 1, 1924, where he lived for most of his life. He attended Short Ridge High School and Butler University before receiving his medical training at Indiana University. He practiced pathology at Community Hospital for many years.
Tom was a founding member of the Indianapolis Ski Club, where he met his beloved wife, Doris (Kenninger). He was also active in Sertoma and the Scientech Club.
Tom was a devoted husband to Doris; he was a much loved uncle to his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; he was a kind and considerate friend, known for his generosity and warmth of spirit; and he retained his intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for learning throughout his life. He will be greatly missed.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Susan (Thro) Stump; his sister, Margaret (Stump) Matchett; and his brother, Robert Stump.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Doris (Kenninger) Stump; his nieces and nephews, Dan (Ruth), Roger (Julie), Greg (Marcia), Jordan (Eleanor), Andy (Nancy), Susan (Hal), Steven (Gail), and Susan; and his great-nieces and -nephews, Aram, Ingrid, Sharon, Adam, Owen, Jorie, Jerry, Philip, Melanie, Adam, and Hannah.
