Tom was a graduate of Warren Central High School class of 1971. Tom found his passion in racing shortly after and continued his career throughout his life up until his passing. He worked most recently for Action Express as a transmission specialist where he met his goals of kissing the bricks of the IMS and two championship rings.
Tom achieved his dreams of retiring in Florida with the love of his life, Janice, and continued cruising up and down the coastlines in his dream boat. He also continued to share his passion of mechanics with his grandson, Alex, and teaching him everything.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janice Walker; his son Andrew Walker; his daughter Katie (Alejandro) De La Cruz; his sister, Arlene Cox; his brother, Jim (Theresa) Walker; and his loving grandchildren: Abby and Alex De La Cruz.
A public visitation for Tom will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop Eleven Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237.
An additional visitation will be held the following morning, Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46203 with a funeral service to begin at 12:00PM.
Tom will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, 2900 Fisher Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46239 following his funeral service.
