Nécrologie de Tomas Manzano Alba Sr.
Tomas M. Alba Sr., age 69, passed away on July 28, 2020 in Indianapolis. Visitation will be on Sunday August 2, 2020 from 2:00PM – 6:00PM at Little and Sons Funeral Home 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN. A funeral service will be held on Monday August 3, 2020 at 10:00AM at St. Jude Church, 5353 McFarland Rd., Indianapolis, IN. Tomas was born in Manila, Philippines to Luis Alba and Trinidad Alba in April of 1951. He attended Centro Escolar University, graduating with a degree in Medical Technology. He immigrated from the Philippines to the United States in 1973 and began working at Methodist Hospital, where he worked for more than 30 years. He worked as a medical technologist and phlebotomist in many Indianapolis and surrounding area hospitals including VA Roudebush Hospital where he took pride in serving our veterans. He was dedicated to the patients that he served every day. He enjoyed music, both listening and playing. His favorite music genres were disco and funk, and his favorite instruments were the guitar and drums. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to play music and sing. He enjoyed the sports of basketball and tennis and taught his children how to play and appreciate these sports. He embraced his catholic faith and was part of the St. Jude Church community in Indianapolis. He is preceded in death by his parents Luis and Trinidad. He is survived by his sons: Tomas Jr. and Derrick, stepchildren: Maria, Michael, and Francis, grandchildren: Zachary, Alexis, Dakota, Simon, Lillian, Tatyana, Trissa, Dominic, Christian, Aleesa, Joslyn, Madeline, Olivia, and siblings: Agnes, Birgita, Luis Jr., Celine, and Bernardino. The family would like to thank Little and Sons Funeral Home and St. Jude Catholic Church for the wonderful help.
