

Bill was born on August 12, 1942, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, the son of the late William Thomas Craft and Alma Fisher Craft.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruth Elaine Craft; his brother, Joseph Craft; and his wife, Debra.
Bill's legacy continues through his three daughters: Katrina Riggs (David), Andrea Craft Martinez (Rick), and Bridget Blank (Jeff). He was blessed with eleven grandchildren: David Riggs (Renee), Nathan Riggs, Kalee Riggs Covert (Donald), Gabrielle Martinez, Hunter Morgan, Alex Martinez, Brittany Blank, Michael Blank, Bailey Reed, Aiden Blank, and Audrey Blank. Bill also had four great-grandchildren: Heidi Riggs, Ella Riggs, Travion Earley, and Hazel Covert. He is additionally survived by two nieces, Amy Craft and Christy Craft, along with great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bill graduated from Collins High School in Oak Hill, West Virginia, in 1960. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964 as an electrical technician on the Polaris Missile Program.
In 2012, Bill retired from MBCI COR as plant manager in Shelbyville, Indiana. His love and devotion to his community and church were evident throughout many years.
Bill attended Faith Community Church for thirty-one years as an usher, elder, and board member. His church family held a special place in his heart. Bill's favorite song was "Amazing Grace," and his favorite scripture was Psalm 103.
Bill cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family. His daily prayer was for all his family members to come to the Lord and understand Jesus' saving grace.
Among his many interests, Bill loved playing golf. He fondly remembered participating in the Anheuser-Busch Pro-Am in 1982 and playing at Pebble Beach. Throughout his Navy service, he played golf at every port he visited.
In addition to golf, Bill was a devoted fan of the West Virginia University football and
basketball teams.
Bill will be forever remembered for his words of wisdom and his infectious laugh, which will resonate in the hearts he touched.

A visitation for William will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
