Horace Eugene Dungan Jr.

Horace Eugene Dungan, Jr., 45, of Jackson, passed away July 26, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 25, 1971 to Horace Eugene Dungan, Sr. and Helen Lee Headley Dungan. A graduate of Leroy High School, he was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father; his son, Thomas Dungan; sisters, Debra (Joel) Broadhead, Jeannie (David) Gill; grandfather, Lloyd Harvison; aunt, Joyce (James) Morgan; nieces Paula, Charli, Claire Helen; great-nephew, Frank, Jr. and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gaddy’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers: Lloyd Harvison, James H. Morgan, Joel Broadhead, David Gill, Wesley Brunson, J.R. Morgan, Ray Smith, Ryan Smith, Austin Smith, Pat Dukes, Rob Pierce, Phillip Hunter. Honorary Pallbearer: Terrie Harris Statham.
