Josephine Robinson Courington, 71, of Coffeville, AL died Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 14, 2014, at 3:00 PM at Jones Chapel Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Jones Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. Brother Steve Jacks will be officiating. Mrs. Courington was a native and lifelong resident of Coffeville, AL, and a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Mrs. Courington was a seamstress at Vanity Fair and extremely outgoing and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie and Nonie Robinson, a child, Jason Courington, a brother, Fuqua Robinson, and a sister, Mabel Robinson. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Don Courington of Coffeeville, AL, a son, Victor Courington (Dorann) of Grove Hill, AL, a daughter-in-law, Jami Alford of Grove Hill, AL, two grandchildren, Kateyln Courington and Anna Marie Courington, four sisters, Helen Cleiland (Jimmy) of Jackson, AL, Faye Courington (Bruce) of Jackson, AL, Barbara Thrash (William) of Leroy, AL and Charlene Courington (Freddie) of Niceville, AL, a dear friend Mae Carol Hill of Grove Hill, AL, and numerous other friends, relatives and loved ones. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour at Jones Chapel Church of Christ.
