Kenneth Clarke Jones

Kenneth Clarke Jones, 69, of Coffeeville entered into rest Monday, January 26, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Jones Chapel Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Jones Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. Brothers Steve Jacks, Butch Starks, and Jim Whidden will officiate.

Mr. Jones was a native and resident of Coffeeville. He retired after 39 years with Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill as a maintenance supervisor and served in the US Navy on the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam Era. He was predeceased by his Parents, Owen Benton Jones and Erline Counselman Roberts & Clarence Ray Roberts, his son, Matthew Franklin Jones, and his brother, Ben (Edna) Jones.

He is survived by three children, Dean Jones (Connie) of Chatom, Marie Finch (Mikeal) of Winn, and Cissy Carpenter (Stacy) of Leroy, a brother, Larry Jones (Sharon) of Coffeeville, a sister, Wanda Lovette (Alex) of Coffeeville, and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers include, Jeff Jones, Jeramy Allday, Brian Starks, Tony Counselman, Russell Roberts, Willie Jones, and Quinton Butts.

Honorary pallbearers Shelia Powell, Jerry Parden, Ernest Roberts, Smokey Roberts, Don Courington, the Staff of Infirmary Home Health, the Staff of SouthernCare Hospice, and UAB HTICU.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral hour at the church.
