Mary M Middleton

Mary M. Middleton, 73, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Mrs. Middleton was born on June 18, 1942 in Camden, AL and married Mr. Elbert B. Middleton, Jr on January 14, 1961. They had lived in Mobile County for 40 years of their loving marriage but in 2000 they became residents of Jackson, AL where she was a member of Stave Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Middleton had worked in the banking industry for more than 50 years most recently having worked for Regions Bank. As well as being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Middleton had served as Worthy Matron in the past. While she was addicted to Auburn Football, Mrs. Middleton was most passionate about her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, John Robert McCants, Sr. & Ruby Lee McCants and her sisters, Roberta Jackson and Barbara Brewer. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Mr. Elbert B. Middleton, Jr.; children, John E. Middleton (Debbie) and Ashley “Beth” Sullivan; sisters, Betty Ann Nichols and Dinah Ellis; brothers, John Robert “Bob” “Spec” McCants, Jr. and Nathan McCants; and grandchildren, Jessica L. Middleton, John E. Middleton, Jr., Heather J. Sullivan, and Jacob D. Sullivan. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Stave Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:30 am. The funeral will begin at 11:30 with Bro. Bill Ellis and Bro. Al Dykeman officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mitchell Cancer Center/Institute.
