Roy Duke “Shorty” Harrell, Jr, age 73, born November 27, 1940, died October 3, 2014. Mr. Harrell was a resident of Grove Hill, AL where he was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He had retired as an Operator after 43 years of employment with Ciba Geigy. Mr. Harrell was also a member of the Antioch Volunteer Fire Department and the Fraternal Order of Police. Survived by: Children-Teresa H. (Michael) Badonsky of Robertsdale, AL Kimberly H. (Tank) Wilson of Grove Hill, AL Siblings- Carolyn (Robert) Hill of Thomasville, AL Ida Jane (Larry) Kearly of Grove Hill, AL Phillip Harrell of Grove Hill, AL Grandchildren- Grant Odom, Rebekah (Nicholas) Johnson, Brittany Reid, Braxton Reid 3 Great Grandchildren Mother-In-Law-Florine P. Harrell of Grove Hill, AL Preceded in death by: Wife-Martha E. Harrell Son- Gregory Scott “Scotty” Harrell Parents- Roy D. & Lida C. Harrell, Sr. Services will be Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 p.m. with the Visitation for one hour prior to the service.
