Audrey Little Comfort

Audrey Little Comfort, 94, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at Wilkinson County Senior Care. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30 in the chapel of Lakewood Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Mrs. Comfort was the daughter of the late Mary Eugenia Herron Little and Henry Hughes Little. She enjoyed reading and home cooking. She loved her church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a retired Supervisor with the Hinds County Welfare Department and retired manager of Bet-R-Way Cleaners in Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Ben” Comfort; brothers, Frank Little and Herbert Little; sisters, Betty Little and Myrna Kelly; sister in law, Nell Little; brother in law, Donald Kelly.

Mrs. Comfort is survived by two sons, Daniel Comfort of Utica and Steven Comfort (Diane) of St. Francisville, LA; granddaughter, Amberlea Comfort of Raleigh, NC ; sister-in-law, Dianne Little of Brandon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
