Barbara Ann Driver

5 janvier 19447 septembre 2020

Barbara Ann Driver, 77, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2020. Barbara was born on January 5, 1944, to Francis Taylor and Clyde Eugene Miller in French Camp, MS along with her twin sister and best friend, Betty. As one of five girls, there was never a dull moment in the Miller household. Barbara had a love of music and enjoyed singing in choirs all through her life. On December 21, 1962, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, James Driver.

Barbara was a Godly wife, devoted mother, beloved sister, and a relentless prayer warrior to all. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed planting in her flower beds, reading her Bible, talking on the phone, volunteering for the drive-thru nativity at her church, and keeping up with all her Facebook family. She truly cared about each and every person she came in contact with throughout her days.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister (Mary Black). She is survived by her husband (James Driver), son and daughter-in-law (Todd and Lorrie Driver), grandson (Trent Driver), granddaughter (Morgan Hartley and husband Cameron), great-grandson (Easton Hartley), three sisters (Betty Killebrew, Peggy Williams, and Patsy Mayfield), and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to Lakeshore Church, 6880 South Siwell Road, Byram, MS 39272.

Barbara was my first cousin. She was the daughter of my Dad's twin sister, Frances Taylor Miller. We shared many good times growing up as our families were very close even tho we lived in Louisiana and they in Mississippi, we visited often and shared many family reunions. She was very special to all that knew her. I regret she will not be with her precious great grandson as he grows up as she would be such a loving influence on him. My family and I send our heartfelt sympathy to James and her entire family. May God give you comfort in the days ahead. One day we will have a glorious family reunion as we gather at the feet of Jesus. Much love from Martha and Dale & family.

Barbara was a shining light in a dark world. She will be greatly missed by those of us who loved her so. But she would say to us, "Rejoice, I am no longer suffering. I am resting in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." So we will celebrate the wonderful life she lived, and try to follow her example of love and Godliness in our own lives. Thinking of my Jackson family with love and prayers. your cousin Dianne

We were “new comers” to Van Winkle Church and Barbara, James, and their group of friends were so very welcoming. (1991) The experiences there were the BEST ever! She will be MISSED!
