Mrs. Beatrice Elizabeth (Beth) Thompson Perkins, 89, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehabilitation of Clinton. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home in Clinton with interment in Raymond City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Mrs. Perkins was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, on February 14, 1926. She was married to Louis R. Perkins, Jr. on June 7, 1946, until his death in 2008. She was a secretary for the English department at Hinds Community College and received an Associate of Arts Degree from Hinds. She was an active member of the Raymond Culture Club, the DAR, and Raymond Baptist Church where she was very involved with the Women's Missionary Union.Mrs. Perkins is survived by her son, Ronnie Perkins (Terry) of Laurel, Charles Perkins (Andrea) of Clinton, and John Perkins of Raymond; grandchildren, Angela Pettway, Lindsey Hedrick, Lauren Perkins, and Brent Perkins; and great grandchild, Chloe Pettway.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) of First Baptist Church, Raymond, in honor of Mrs. Perkins' lifelong commitment and love for missions.Please visit lakewoodfuneralhomes.com for her online guestbook.
