Charles Robert Cahill

Charles Robert Cahill passed away at age 75 at Select Specialty Hospital in Ridgeland, MS. He was born in 1940 to Willetta Williams Cahill and Charles Otis Cahill. Charles attended Clinton Public Schools and then joined the Navy in 1959 and served in the Pacific Rim. He was honorably discharged and returned to Tulsa to marry his childhood sweetheart, Nancy Neal Williams in 1964. She preceded him in death after a marriage of 47 years.

Charles’ expertise in electrical engineering was utilized by companies in several states. He taught briefly at Hinds Community College and then opened Cahill Electronics and managed that company until he retired. Part of Charles’ charm, was his humor and ability to make friends where ever he went. He liked to tinker and was very interested in finding out how anything and everything worked. His other interests included woodworking and riding the open road with his brother Gary, who preceded him in death.

Charles is survived by his mother, Willetta Cahill of Pinola, his two daughters Beth Cahill Robinson and her husband Ron, Katie Cahill Burleson and her husband Brent, and his best bud, grandson Neal. He leaves a legacy of strong family ties with cousins, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS. Service will follow Wednesday’s visitation.
