She was a graduate of Winona High School in Winona, MS and the University of Kentucky. She received her degree in Communications/Journalism. Claudia was a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church, Jackson, MS.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Speights Duncan.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Thomas Duncan (Suzy), and her daughter, Sheila Duncan Johnson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph Thomas Duncan (Tabitha), Michael Lee Duncan (Summer), and C. C. Johnson.
A pavilion service for Claudia will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS.
