Miss Doris was one of our favorite people in the whole world.            she was truly  a precious Christian lady.
we loved her dearly.

The Cooper and Shelton families were the backbone of our childhood and oh what fond memories.  Mrs. Cooper was the Mother Teresa of RRBC.  The sweetest lady I have ever known with such a kind loving spirit.  Heaven is a better place with her arrival.  I send love to all her children and grandchildren.  We were all better people just from knowing her.

Sweet old lady...You were blessed with children, grandchildren that adored you and will never forget you.
Till we meet again.

Mrs. Cooper and my Mother met many years ago at RRBC and they became good friends.  Mrs. Cooper was one of the nicest, kindest people...she always made me feel welcome.  I am so sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Cooper was my Sunday School Beginner's teacher at Raymond Road Baptist Church, where most of my earliest memories arise.  I knew she loved me and she made me feel special then just as she has continued to my entire life.  She had a way of connecting with and listening to each of us Beginners, and she demonstrated to us that "God is Love," the first Bible verse I remember her teaching me.  I found out later that she treated adolescents, adults, everyone the same loving way, so it is easy to see why she was RRBC's most beloved member.  So many South Jackson children and parents also got to experience her wonderful Christian witness when she was Director of the church day care and kindergarten.  I know that Janie and Mr. Cooper are rejoicing with her now that she has joined them, and no doubt other RRBC saints are celebrating her arrival with Dinner on the Grounds followed by an Ice Cream Social and the singing where you get to choose your favorite hymn (yep, Mrs. Shelton is still first to shout out her number!).  I could go on and on, but I'll just say that my heartfelt sympathies are with Ronald, Keith, Larry, and ALL her family and friends.

Aunt Doris was always like our second Mom. Living next door to us, we were always at each other's home. Such a Godly Lady, we all loved her so much. 
So glad she was my Great Aunt, what a Blessing.

Aunt Doris was a very special aunt.  I have fond memories of her and her family visiting my grandparents house on Sundays when I was a young child.  She was always kind and had a sweet loving spirit to all.  I shall cherish my memories.  May God give you all comfort at this time. Martha Walker Wehunt

Mrs Cooper was like a second mother to me and all of my brothers and my daughter Tami. She will be sorely missed. My whole family loved her. I never heard her speak a negative word toward anyone. No matter what she was always smiling. Our prayers are going out. to Ronald, Keith, Larry Joe and their families.                            Anthony and Shirley Shelton.

Mrs. Cooper was one of my favorite memories from growing up at RRBC, what a wonderful lady.  Looking forward to seeing her again in heaven!  Praying for your family to be comforted at this time.

When we think of Aunt Doris, we think of the most welcoming smile, the warmest Mississippi hug and love of family!  She had the most Christian heart we've ever known, a real Southern lady.
