

Visitation will be held 3:00-5:00pm, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services are 11:00am Monday, February 4, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park.
She was born April 13, 1926 in Neshoba County, a daughter of the late Charles Wilson Barnett and Sadie Weatherford Barnett. Mrs. Kirby was a longtime member of McDowell Road Baptist Church and currently a member of Alta Woods Baptist Church. She was a retired LPN having served with Mississippi Baptist Medical Center for more than 25 years. “Mamaw” loved her family dearly and enjoyed sharing her home with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James David “Jim” Kirby; and siblings, Evie Mae Talley, Ethel Glen Barnett, Kitty Ruth Mowdy, Mary Alice Steele, Charles Allen Barnett and Hilda Barnett.
Survivors include sons, Mark Kirby (Barbara) and David Kirby (Debbie); daughter, Donna Griffin (Joe); brother, Tommy Barnett; sisters, Claudine Walker and Rebecca Barnett, who has resided with Mrs. Kirby for the past 61 years; grandchildren, Amy Redus, Tiffany Luckey, Michelle Craig, Amanda Reagan, Amy Robinson, Nanette Dickson, Vaunita Sullivan and Karen Rikard; and 16 great-grandchildren.
