Douglas Lamar Cruise, 37, passed away on the evening of May 29, 2025 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born on May 9, 1988, in Jackson, Mississippi to Ann Arrington Cruise and James Leon Cruise Jr.
Douglas attended Jackson Academy and Madison Ridgeland Academy where he graduated in 2007. After graduation, he attended Mississippi State University.
Douglas is survived by his father, James Leon Cruise Jr. and his stepmother, Cindy Nowell Cruise of Clinton, brother, James Leon Cruise III, known as “Jamie” and wife Brittney of Pensacola, FL., his sister, Helen Ramsey Cruise Long and husband, Brian of Jackson, his daughters, Stella Elyse Cruise and Rebecca “Becca” Ann Cruise of Madison, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Douglas was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Ann Arrington Cruise.
A memorial gathering of family and close friends will be held at graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Rescue Mission in Jackson, Mississippi.
