Frances B. Hanson

Frances B. Hanson. 88, passed away on January 24, 2017 at Brookdale Nursing Home in Clinton. Visitation will be on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hanson was born on December 10, 1928 to the late Ira Donald and Mattie Lee Whisenant Biggers. She worked at Bayou Academy for over 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church Boyle. Later in life she was a faithful member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church where she was involved with the Senior Sunshiner’s. Mrs. Hanson enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and decorating cakes, but above all she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to Mr. Hanson and cared for him in his later years with Alzheimer’s.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hanson; parents; and 5 siblings.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by her son, Donny Hanson (Nina)of Starkville; daughter, Cathi DeLoach (Cooper) of Clinton; grandchildren, Emily Horton (Kevin), Lindsay Hamilton (Kevin), Mari-Grace Clarke (Josh), C-J Long (Tyler); great grandchildren, Taylee and Braylon Sipin, Emma Claire and Jack Horton, Hadleigh Long, and Houston Clarke.
