Franklin Eugene Phillips

Franklin Eugene Phillips, 83, from Brandon, MS, entered his eternal heavenly home on January 24, 2026. Gene served his country with his tenure of 4 years in the United States Marine Corp. and worked at Mississippi Federated Co-Operatives as an Accountant. After his employment at MFC, he worked at the Volvo Truck Dealership in Pearl, MS, until his retirement.

Gene is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jan Phillips; his Sons Timothy (Tommie Sue) Phillips of Victoria, TX, Tony Phillips of Brandon, MS, and his Grandson, Tristan (Caitlin) Phillips of Bedford, VA, his Sister, Jeanette Thronton of Ridgeland, MS, and his brother, David (Connie) Phillips of Nettleton, MS, along with his step-children Mike (April) Turnage, Kristi (Adam) Harris, Donna (Jona)Sanford, and Angela Rigby, and many step-grandchildren.

Gene is also survived by man’s best friend, Abby, who he enjoyed his daily walks with.

His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother and father, Andrew and Ann Phillips, as well as his first love, his wife, Sharon Phillips.

A service to honor his life will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS on Monday, February 2, 2026, with visitation from 11:30 am- 1:00 pm. With the service to immediately follow.
