

He shared 44 years of marriage with wife, Deb (Williams) Patterson, they had two children, Christopher Edward Patterson and their late daughter, Tracy Michelle Patterson. George was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. George had undeniable love for his family and friends. He was a skilled carpenter and builder. George had a love for sports, whether he was playing or coaching from the side lines, he was a fan among fans. He wrapped everything in maroon and white, as he was an avid MSU fan.
George is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Edward Tracy and Edith Earl (Ball) Patterson; daughter, Tracy; sisters, Renalda Crawford and Dean Boone; father in law, Roy Williams; brother in law, Lloyd Williams; and great nephew, Peyton Easterling.
George is survived by his wife, Deb; son, Chris (Mandy); granddaughter, Julia Michelle Patterson; sisters, Sue Cronin (Ken), Liz Volcansek (Max), Linda Simmons (Ralph), Juanita Hooper, Margie Weeks, and Thanie McKinnon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1301 Pinehaven Rd., Clinton, MS 39056. Funeral Services will be held at the church at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
