

She was born on April 1, 1920 to the late Sam Frank and Bessie Courtney Lancaster in Jackson. She married the late Gerald E. Harmon in 1940 and they made their home in Jackson. After the war they moved to San Diego, California where they lived until 1983 when they returned to the family land at Spring Ridge Mississippi.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Malcolm and Hilton, and her sister Lorene.
She is survived by five children, Tom Harmon (Catherine Edwards) of Terry, MS; Gerald Harmon (Barbara) of Goldsby, OK; William Harmon (Cathy) of Wills Point, TX; Janus Harmon Roth (Ed) of Oklahoma City, OK; and Lisa Harmon Mojica (James) of Oceanside, CA; twenty-four cherished grandchildren, many beloved great- and great-great grandchildren, and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Harmon was a long time member of the Spring Ridge United Methodist Church.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Helene Youngblood and her professional and caring staff of Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
There will be a graveside service Monday at 10:00 AM at the Spring Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Spring Ridge United Methodist Church or the SRUMC Cemetery Fund, 1083 Davis Road, Terry, MS 39170, or to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Dr. Ext., Jackson, MS 39204.
