Geraldine Nicholson Roden, 87, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 29th, after an extended stay at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. She was born in Booneville, MS, on January 8, 1930, to her late parents Thomas J and Ruby Nicholson.
Geraldine and her husband Guy founded Apex Printing Company in Jackson in the late 1950's. She began her career in printing at the Booneville Independent being the First Lady operator of the Type-O-Writer keyboard. She also met the love of her life Guy Roden while working there.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole R. Hollingsworth (Paul), grandson, Keegan Elllzey, and granddaughter, Cassidy Davis, all of Terry. She is also survived by nieces, Renee' Moore-Smith of Flowood, Connie Berryman Berryhill of Iuka, (formerly Jackson), JoAnn Burns of Booneville , and Jane Smart; one nephew , Billy Nicholson of Blackland. Geraldine was the youngest of nine children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Guy C. Roden. Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, and writing poetry.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday February 1, 2017.
